PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of a top deck, to increase furnace fastening force and to improve the strength of a furnace body. SOLUTION: A base stay 8 is embedded in foundation concrete on which a chamber-type coke oven (furnace body 1), an upper stay 10 installed on the top deck 7 is connected through a back stay 3 to the base stay 8. The chamber-type coke oven (furnace body 1) is fastened in the vertical direction. An adjustment mechanism 17 for fastening force in the vertical direction is laid at a connection part between the upper stay 10 and the back stay 3. A furnace fastening box 14 for transmitting the fastening force of the upper stay 10 to the furnace body 1 is installed in the top deck 7 and a heat insulating material is packed into the furnace fastening box 14.
