<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize size and thickness reductions in a spindle motor and make dischargeable bubbles mixed in oil. <P>SOLUTION: This spindle motor equipped with dynamic-pressure bearings of full filter structure in which all clearances between the bearings are filled with oil, is provided with at least one radial groove from the inward end in the radial direction of the dynamic-pressure bearings provided in a thrust bearing portion to the inward end of the end in the radial direction of a sleeve is formed on the inward side in the radial direction of the thrust bearing portion. The bubbles mixed in the oil are agitated and finely disassembled by the radial groove while rotating, thus discharging them from the clearances between bearings. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
