<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relaxation effect-imparted composition improving relaxation effect or the like inherent in theanine, and having more useful theanine and coffeinless coffee as active ingredients. <P>SOLUTION: The composition is obtained by grinding caffeinless coffee beans (Colombia EXCELSO having L value 24: a decaffeination rate of 97%) subjected to decaffeination through an aqueous extraction method, and extracting the coffee beans at 95°C for 20 min to obtain an extract liquid (Bx2.38). Bicarbonate is added to the extract so that the extract for non-sugar black coffee is adjusted to pH 6.20, and the extract for sugar-added milk coffee is adjusted to pH 6.80. Theanine, saccharide, milk constituent and an emulsion stabilizer are added to the composition. The composition is measured up into a specified amount (100 g), and subjected to sterilization at 121°C for 30 m to be finished as a final product. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
