PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device in which it is possible to prevent damages on a liquid crystal display unit, and at the same time, it is possible to settle the problem that the liquid crystal display becomes hard to see. SOLUTION: The portable terminal device is provided with an LCD 5, a panel 2 provided on the front face of the LCD 5 and for protecting the LCD 5, an LCD holder 7 provided on the rear face of the LCD 5 and for holding the LCD 5, and an elastic body 6 interposed between the LCD 5 and the LCD holder 7. When external force is applied to the panel 2, the external force is absorbed by deformation of the elastic body 6 caused by the external force. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
