PURPOSE: An air conditioning system and an air conditioning method for relieving stress are provided to relieve stress by operating an air conditioner according to a stress value quantitatively measured. CONSTITUTION: An indoor environment sensor(10) measures an indoor environment including a temperature at least. A stress characteristic value receiving unit(15) measures pulse of a user to calculate a value of stress which the user feels. A control unit(20) includes a micro processor calculating the heart rate variability to measure the stress value of the user by the pulse state of the user inputted from the stress characteristic value receiving unit. An indoor fan driving unit(31) and a compressor driving unit(34) drive a compressor(44) and an indoor fan(41) to promptly relieve stress of the user.
