<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system including a fuel cell 10 having a fuel entrance 14, an oxidizer entrance 12, a cathode gas exit 16, and anode tail gas exit 18, and being restrained in energy consumption as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: At least one of humidifiers 52, 70; 54 and 72 is inserted between an air or fuel supply source and the corresponding entrance of the fuel cell, and the humidifier includes, in its inside, passages 60, 61; 62, 64; 78, 80; 82 and 84 for an energy-containing medium having a heat exchange relationship with reactant passages 56, 58; 74 and 76. A water supply source 46 is connected to the reactant passages 56, 58; 74 and 76 and water is vaporized there. The passages 60, 61; 62, 64; 78, 80; 82 and 84 for the energy-containing medium are connected to one of the exits 16 and 18, receive a heated fluid therefrom, and supply vaporization heat to an aqueous material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
