PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized or high-capacity capacitor, which absolute dry treatment process and hardly causes short-circuit trouble due to the permeation of metallic particles. SOLUTION: A fine porous membrane, consisting of a crystalline thermoplastic resin having a crystallizing melting point of 175-300°C or an amorphous thermoplastic resin having a glass transition point of 175-300°C which are having an average hole size of 0.01-5μm, a thickness of 10-50μm and a porosity of 20-95%, is employed for a separator.
