PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal closed container and a drying method of the metal closed container capable of discharging easily and surely liquid such as water remaining on a sealing member and its periphery in order to prevent corrosion of the sealing member provided on the metal closed container. SOLUTION: This container has a constitution equipped with a shielding lid 10 placed on an aperture of a container body 2 in the liquid as a lid body for blocking the aperture of the container body 2, for shielding a radiation from the content, a primary lid 11 placed on the outside in the axial direction of the shielding lid 10 relative to the container body 2, for preventing falling of the shielding lid 10 and sealing the container body 2 through the sealing member 30, and a secondary lid 12 placed on the outside in the axial direction of the primary lid 11 relative to the container body 2, for sealing the container body 2 through the sealing member 30. In this drying method, the container is pulled up from a pit in the stage wherein only the shielding lid 10 is placed on the container body 2, and moisture around the aperture is removed.
