<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor drive capable of absorbing regenerative power or generated power and preventing destruction and malfunction of the stepping motor by connecting a power absorbing circuit to a power cable, and to provide a linear-traveling actuator and a reduction gear. <P>SOLUTION: The stepping motor drive 1 consists of a control circuit 2, an output circuit 3, and the power absorbing circuit 4 connected to each other though two power cables 1a, 1b. The power cables 1a, 1b are respectively connected to a positive electrode and a negative electrode of a DC power supply 5 to supply necessary power. The power absorbing circuit 4 absorbs the power (voltage) by abnormal voltage which is higher than a rated voltage Va generated by the output circuit or the like, and operates so that the voltage applied to the control circuit 2, the output circuit 3 and the DC power supply 5 does not exceed breakdown voltage (withstand voltage) in these circuits. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
