PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an engine-driven generating device capable of restraining variation of an output voltage of a generator at rapid change of a load. SOLUTION: A control system is provided for controlling a throttle valve 2 so as to compensate variation of the output voltage accompanied by variation of the load of the generator 3. Further, a load rapid increase time injection control means is provided for controlling a fuel injection device so that an air-fuel ratio of a mixture supplied to an engine 1 when the output voltage of the generator is lowered by rapid increase of the load is varied from the lean side to the rich side, and a load rapid decrease time injection control means is provided for controlling the fuel injection device so as to shut off the fuel when the output voltage is raised by rapid decrease of the load. The output of the engine 1 is varied before the output of the engine is adjusted by control of the throttle valve at rapid change of the load, and thereby variation of the output voltage of the generator 3 is restrained.
