The cylinder-crankcase block, of non-ferrous metal, has harder cast-in bearing cradles and bearing caps for the crankshaft bearings, clamped together by screws, which are also screwed to a further cast-in part to hold the cradles tight in the crankcase (14). This is in the form of a cylinder liner (16) with screw holes (18, 20) suitably shaped for the bearing screws (24). |
