The helmet, designed as a calotte (1) with a chin protection segment (4) and a front opening (2) covered by a movable visor is provided with several ribs (6) arranged in order to optimize the aerodynamic quality and to enhance the appearance of the device. Two ribs (6a, 6b) are guided from the upper (11), the lower edge (12) of the front opening (2) to the center of the rear (9), one triangular shaped rib (6c, 14, 15) is positioned on top (13) of the helmet, the tip pointing to the rear (9) and one rib (6e) is located between the top rib (6c) and the upper of the side ribs (6a). The meeting point of all ribs forms a pointed projection (8) at the back (9) of the helmet.
