PURPOSE: A method for managing an internetwork interworking point configure order of a very high speed data network is provided to select an internetwork interworking node list by an operator, or to designate a path up to an ATM interworking node from an ATM terminal node, or to previously verify a path configuration availability, thereby enabling a PVC(Permanent Virtual Circuit) configuration according to an operation purpose. CONSTITUTION: If an internetwork interworking PVC configure order is received(S310), a configure management system inputs requirements of an operator(S320) and executes an interworking point inquire order interworking process with an equipment management system(S330). If the number of supplied node lists is bigger than a maximum node list count, the operator determines the number of candidate node lists(S340), and confirms a designated path usage flag(S350). If a designated path is used, the operator generates an ATM PVC designated path configure order(S360). If a path setup functional parameter is determined, the operator confirms a previous routing usage flag and the setup function parameter(S380). If the previous routing usage flag is not set, the operator displays interworking point node list information(S390) and completes an internetwork interworking point determining procedure(S400). If the operator selects one of the candidate lists, an ATM network management system executes an ATM PVC configure order for port/VPI values(S440), designates an FR(Frame Relay) interworking node, and executes an FR PVC configure order to an FR network management system(S450).
