PURPOSE: A method for editing a melody bell of a wireless terminal is provided to download melodies from a melody service server, and to select a desirous section only among the melodies to store the section, thereby efficiently managing a memory and storing more melodies as bell sounds. CONSTITUTION: A user selects a song used for a bell sound(SP1). A wireless terminal selects a melody section used for the bell sound(SP2-SP4). When a melody edition is completed, the terminal stores an edited melody as the bell sound(SP5,SP6,SP9,SP10). If the user requests re-edition of the melody, the terminal repeats the steps 'SP2-SP4' and 'SP5,SP6,SP9,SP10', and re-edits a selected original song to store a new bell sound in file type(SP11,SP5,SP6,SP9,SP10). If the user does not request re-edition of the selected original song, the terminal deletes the original song and completes the process by the user(SP11-SP14).
