PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expanded function allowing easy connection to a portable telephone set without causing the deterioration of portability. SOLUTION: The portable telephone set 1 is attached to an attachment part of an expanded function module 2 and is connected thereto by a connector part 2b. A control circuit 6, an IC card reader/writer 7, a driving battery 10 and the like are provided in the module 2. Control information of the IC cards 3 and 5 are read and they are outputted to the portable telephone set 1. Control information is composed of information corresponding to a key operation of the portable telephone set 1 and of address information.
