Device permitting marking of the position of a pointer or stylus (4) on a resistive surface (1). The marker generates regular electrical impulses on the surface. The surface has surrounding edges (2) the surface resistivity of which is different to that of the surface itself. The charge fractions initially created by the pointer are collected at the extremities (3) of the resistive surface and its position is determined as a function of the barycenter of the collected charges.
