PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device or the like whereby the positional deviation of an original is easily confirmed in an image preview display and a very small positional deviation is easily corrected by moving the original even on a small display screen. SOLUTION: The image display device is provided with: an image read means for reading an original image and converting it into an image signal; and a display control means for segmenting corners of the read original image and displaying the segmented image on a display means. Four corners, two corners or one corner of the original are segmented from the read image signal and the display means displays the segmented image. The display means displays the mirror-reversed image of the segmented corners. The display means displays the image of the segmented corners with unmagnification or magnification.
