PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate device preventing an open door body from being naturally brought into closing movement as fanned by strong wind during passage, and preventing the door body that has collided against a door stopper or the like from bouncing back when the door body is forcibly opened. SOLUTION: An opening maintaining device comprises a latch bolt 6 provided in the door body 2, and a strike 81 provided on a post 8 or a fixed structure such as a building and with which the latch bolt 6 engages when the door body 2 is open.
