<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film for an electrothermal transfer printer realizing reproduction and high speed printing of a high resolution image. <P>SOLUTION: The film 30 for an electrothermal transfer printer has a two layer structure of a resistive layer 32 and a return path electrode layer 34 wherein a large number of conductive parts 38 composed of a lower resistance material as compared with the resistive layer 32 are buried in the resistive layer 32 from the side opposite to the return path electrode layer 34 up to a specified depth not reaching the return path electrode layer 34, and the end face of the conductive part 38 is exposed to touch a dot-like electrode 20 abutting against the inner surface of the film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
