PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recording data on a data preserving system and to provide a controller for the hard disk drive. SOLUTION: The method for recording data comprises a step (a) for receiving a recording instruction and sensing temperature of the periphery of a hard disk drive, a step (b) for enabling a recording verifying function when the temperature is the critical temperature or below to record the data on a data sector, a step (c) for reading the recorded data to detect a recording error, and a step (d) for recording the data on a spare sector if the recording error is detected in the step (c). Therefore, if the recording error is detected when the data is recorded on a magnetic disk under a low temperature condition and the error is finally detected by repeating the cycle of recording-reproduction-error detection several times, a sector is re-assigned to record the data.
