PROCESS FOR SYNTHESIZING CARBON NITRIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new process for synthesizing carbon nitride which utilizes photoreaction and efficiently yields carbon nitride without using any catalyst or solvent. SOLUTION: A solid matrix medium, containing a photoreactive precursor exclusively composed of nitrogen and carbon inside a phase that solidifies at an extremely low temperature, is exposed to light to activate the photoreactive precursor and subsequently heated to induce intermolecular actions among the activated precursor molecules to synthesize carbon nitride.
