PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reciprocating feeder easily assembled by a worker with a low skill level and reducing the manufacturing cost by preventing fretting abrasion of a guide shaft, bearing balls, and a guide bush due to shortage of lubricating oil, while miniaturizing a device itself, stably reciprocating a movable body for a long period of time, and reducing the number of members to be highly precisely straightened. SOLUTION: This reciprocating feeder is provided with a guide shaft provided on a base and rotated in normal/inverse directions by a rotation driving member and the movable body axially reciprocating by a traveling driving member. The movable body is axially and slidably supported to the guide shaft via a bearing comprising the balls provided in a plurality of ball pockets provided in a cylindrical member to be inserted in the guide shaft respectively, abutting on the guide shaft and the guide bush of the movable body respectively, and rotating. When the movable body reciprocates at a stroke of an approximately two times or less of the ball diameter, the guide shaft is rotated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
