PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid injection device which can suppress scattering of a liquid wiped from a nozzle formation face of a liquid injection head at the time of a wiping operation. SOLUTION: The ink jet type recording apparatus has a recording head 9 for jetting liquid droplets towards an object, a wiping member 21 for wiping the nozzle formation face 19 by moving relatively to the recording head 9, and an inclined member 31 set in the vicinity of the recording head 9 and at the downstream side in a relative movement direction to the wiping member 21. The inclined member 31 has an inclined face 32 which changes a surface position by the nozzle formation face 19 of the recording head 9 along the relative movement direction between the recording head 9 and the wiping member 21. The inclined member 31 is equipped with an introduction part 33 which overlaps with the recording head 9 when the relative movement direction is seen sideways. The wiping member 21 after wiping the nozzle formation face 19 of the recording head 9 smoothly moves from the nozzle formation face 19 to the inclined face 32 via the introduction part 33.
