<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make longer the service life of a pickup of a disk reproducing device. <P>SOLUTION: A pickup 2 is provided with an objective lens 22 which focuses light beams on a disk 1, a light emitting element 20 which is connected to a power feeding circuit 60 to emit light beams, a mirror plate 24 which reflects light beams from the element 20 toward the lens 22 and passes the light beams reflected by the disk 1 and a light receiving element 21 which receives the light beams that are reflected by the disk 1 and passed through the plate 24 and converts the light beams into electric signals. A plurality of light emitting elements 20 and 20a are arranged in top and bottom in the pickup. The circuit 60 is connected to a switching means 5 which stops power feeding to the elements 20 when output level of one element 20 is reduced and signals are not correctly reproduced and feeds power to any of the elements 20a other than the elements 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
