PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC adapter capable of thinning a case for housing a plug. SOLUTION: The AC adapter is provided with a case 22 with a bearing formed and a plug 16 with a first and a second retainer half bodies 14a, 14b each holding a blade 12a, 12b engaged in free separation and access, and the retainer half bodies 14a, 14b are made separated by drawing out the blades 12a, 12b from the case 22. By housing the blades 12a, 12b in the case 22, the first and the second retainer half bodies are made to access or separate each other. The AC adapter is provided with a separation distance adjustment mechanism for adjusting a separation distance of the pair of blades 12a, 12b accompanying this access and separation movement and a rotating shaft 42 fitted to the plug 16 and supported by the bearing. The first half body 14a is so structured to be free in turning around the case 22 and the second retainer half body 14b is so structured to get access to or be separated from the first retainer half body 14a, by fitting of the rotating shaft 42 to the first retainer half body 14a.
