PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet head structure which can obtain a stable jetting state at a high frequency region by a multi-drop system. SOLUTION: An ink jet head is configured to jet ink by generating a pressure in ink chambers ChA, ChB and Chc by drive pulses generated by a drive pulse generating means. The ink jet head of the multi-drop system continuously applies the drive pulses from the drive pulse generating means, and controls a dot diameter by controlling the number of liquid droplets to be jetted from the ink chambers ChA, ChB and ChC in accordance with the number of drive pulses. A ratio H/B of a wall height H of a partition wall W which defines the ink chambers ChA, ChB and ChC and a wall width B is set to satisfy the expression of 1.5≤H/B≤3.0. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
