MACHINE AND METHOD FOR REMOVING TRACK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine of a specific type by which well-preserved old sleepers are reused by putting them into a new track to be laid, in a simple method and at a low cost to reuse it. SOLUTION: The machine 1 is designed to remove an old track and lay the new track. The machine includes a first conveyer means 9 adjacent to a sleeper pickup device 6 to convey the old sleepers 10, and a second conveyer means 11 for conveying new sleepers 12 to a sleeper laying device 8. The machine also includes a transshipping device 14 having a transshipping element 15 which is vertically adjustable by a driving part 19. The transshipping element 15 works to selectively transship the old sleepers 10 from the first conveyer means 9 to the second conveyer means 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
