<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To novelly provide a method and an apparatus for fold-applying to stick a closure seal of a box-shaped package which can improve in speed and efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The method for folding to one side to stick the closure seal of the box-shaped package includes steps of the folded strip-like closure seal of the package toward one side on an intermittently traveling conveyer, preheating both external surfaces of the package under overhangs on both sides so that they can be welded, folding the overhangs folded to fall on the both sides to the external surfaces of the package, pressing and heating the strip-like closure seal while pressing the seal against the upper surface of the package to cause internal surfaces to be welded. The folding step of the overhangs on both sides is carried out during the travelling immediately before the stop position for pressing and heating from the outside.
