<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device of an international combustion engine that can efficiently raise temperature responding to temperature rise request of exhaust gas (an exhaust emission control means) and can effectively prevent deterioration of the exhaust gas caused by the temperature elevation. <P>SOLUTION: This device consists of an rotary electric machine (13) that is mechanically connected with an output shaft of the internal combustion engine (1), the exhaust emission control means (9, 10) that are provided on an exhaust passage (6) of the internal combustion engine (1) and purify flowing exhaust gas, an electric heater (11) that generates heat using electric power generated by the rotary electric machine (13) and can increase the temperature of the exhaust gas passing through the exhaust emission control means (9, 10), a control means (20) for the rotary electric machine that increases electric power generated by the rotary electric machine (13) responding to the temperature elevation request from the exhaust emission control means (9, 10), and an output control means (20) for the internal combustion engine that increases and controls the output of the internal combustion engine (1) for the increase in the generated electric power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
