PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving compatibility of a polyester polyol component with a foaming agent in a method for producing a rigid polyurethane foam. SOLUTION: The method for producing the rigid polyurethane foam comprises reacting a polyisocyanate component with a polyether polyol component and a polyester polyol component in the presence of a foaming agent. In the production method, an aromatic ester compound in an amount of 0.1-10 wt.% is added to the polyester polyol component. Thereby, uniform stability of a mixed solution of the polyether polyol component with the polyester polyol component and the foaming agent which is a pre-prepared solution for rigid polyurethane foam reaction is improved.
