<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of optimally reproducing gradation even when image data transmitted from an external device includes an attribute signal or no attribute signal. <P>SOLUTION: An input means of the image processing apparatus receives image data transmitted from the external device, and an image processing means applies gradation reproduction processing to the input image data. On the other hand, an attribute signal generating means generates a first attribute signal showing the attribute of the image based on the recieved image data. The gradation reproduction control means controls the gradation reproduction processing by the image processing means on the basis of the first attribute signal generated by the attribute signal generating means and a second attribute signal attached to the image data received by the input means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
