<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document creation support apparatus which creates a new document as referring to a document example in relation to the new document in the contents among document examples which are already created and accumulated. <P>SOLUTION: The document creation support apparatus extracts information (for example, a keyword) indicating characteristics of the document from the existing document, stores the existing document and characteristic information of the document in a document example storage means 4 by associating them with each other and displays a list of the documents stored in the document example storage means 4 as a document image list based on the characteristic information when the document is created by referring to the existing document.
