POLISHING DEVICE FOR GLASS PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To successively polish continuously fed-in glass plates in order, in a polishing device for flattening the surface of a glass plate or a substrate. SOLUTION: A plurality of horizontally rotating polishing plates are arranged side by side. A carrying rail and a traveling rail are attached on both side surfaces of a track supporting body extended in the horizontal direction on the upper parts. This device is provided with a plurality of upper surface plates provided with pressure plates vertically movable to engage and suspend each of the glass plates of a plurality of carriages travelable along the traveling rail and carrying carriers mounted with connection means reciprocating along the carrying rail and connectable and attachable/detachable to/from the carriages. A horizontally reciprocating means to press the upper surface plates on the polishing plates and reciprocate the surface plates along the traveling rail is disposed on each upper part of each of the surface upper plates.
