<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric kotatsu capable of adding negative particles which are said to give relax feeling for human strain feeling and fatigue to air. <P>SOLUTION: This electric kotatsu 13 provided with a negative particle generation means is constituted in such a way that a photoelectron generation material 1 is provided inside a vessel 10 and electrical ground 3 is attached to the photoelectron generation material 1. Photoelectron is generated from the photoelectron generation material 1 by ultraviolet rays from a light source 4, and photoelectron is caught into minute particles such as molecule of water and oxygen or dust in the air infiltrating through an air inlet 6 and is discharged from an air outlet 9 as negative particle.
