PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to remotely control an imaging device at a remote place to pick up an image, and to obtain a picked-image while staying at a remote place. SOLUTION: An image operating program 49c requests to pick up a static image. In response to this request, an image transferring program 49b requests a communication program 48a to pick up the static image. In response to this request, a communication program 49a requests to pick up the static image. A digital still camera 2 picks up the static image in response to the request, stores the image in a memory card, divides the data of the stored static image, and transmits the data to a PC 1. The program 49a allows a VRAM 44 to store the data of the static image to be transmitted in a divided state, and transmits a completion notice to the program 49b when all the data of the static image are stored. The program 49b obtains the static image, and supplies the data to an image operating program 49c in response to a request from the program 49c.
