PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To put fruits with different shapes and sizes in the same case. SOLUTION: A cushioning medium includes a tray (10) with flexibility at least on the upper surface having shallow dents (11a, 11b, ..., 11n) arranged in rows capable of fitting the bottoms of relatively large fruits among the fruits (1a, 1b, ..., 1n), and a flexible fruit carrying sheet (20) provided on the upper part of the tray and equipped with cut holes (21a, 21b, ..., 21n) opposite to each of the dents for causing part of the fruit to pass and supporting it from the periphery. The cut hole is formed by cuts radially provided from immediately above the center of each dent. The tray or the fruit carrying sheet may be equipped with spacers (12a, 12b, ..., 12n) formed by deforming or folding its part, or the spacers may separately prepared and used. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
