PRINTER, TICKET ISSUING APPARATUS, AND PRINTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which produces a high print quality, a ticket issuing apparatus employing the printer, and a printing method. SOLUTION: The printer 101 which produces a high print quality comprises a thermal head 111 performing printing on a print medium by heating each region for a specified print time, and a control section 121 for regulating the print time depending on the printing amount at each region of the print medium. The thermal head 111 is constituted of a plurality of heating elements 112 arranged in correspondence with the region and the printing amount depends on the number of heating elements 112 being heated for each region.
