An acceleration sensor with a seismic mass and a piezoelectric active element based on a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) polymer, in which the latter comprises at least 60 wt.% PVDF or vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene copolymer and at least 5 wt.% copper phthalocyanine, brominated copper phthalocyanine, chlorophyll or highly dispersed poly-aniline.
