ANTIBODIES AGAINST SCRAPIE FORM OF PRION

PURPOSE: Antibodies against scrapie form of prion(PrPSC) are provided, thereby easily and accurately detecting the scrapie form of prion(PrPSC) causing transmissible spongiform encephalopathies(TSE) in animals. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing antibodies against scrapie form of prion(PrPSC) comprises the steps of: (i) injecting a plasminogen binding site as an antigen into animals; (ii) collecting a sample containing a pool of polyclonal antibodies from the animals; and (iii) contacting the sample with normal type prion protein or its fragments to purify polyclonal antibodies against scrapie form of prion(PrPSC).
