Device for guiding gases comprises a vertical cylindrical housing containing a rotor with an annular gap for a separating gas between a vertical rotor and the housing. The rotor has flat gas passages for a drying gas. Channels enable introduction of a separating gas into the annular gap and the drying gas into the flat gas passages. Both channels are separated from each other. Device for guiding gases in a unit for producing spherical products comprises a vertical cylindrical housing containing a rotor (3) with a vertical rotor axle (4) with an annular gap for a separating gas between the rotor and the housing. The rotor has flat gas passages for a drying gas. Channels enable introduction of a separating gas into the annular gap and the drying gas into the flat gas passages. Both channels are separated from each other with each channel having units for adjusting the pressure of the gases in the channels. An Independent claim is also included for a process for adjusting the type, pressure and amount of separating gas and drying gas using the above device.
