PURPOSE: A connection module for aligning optical fibers is provided to reduce load and align accurately the optical fibers when the optical fiber is inserted into the connection module. CONSTITUTION: A connection module includes a first plate and a second plate. The first plate(20) has a surface including at least one groove(22) extended to a predetermined direction. The second plate(30) has a surface which is arranged on the surface of the first plate to define a passage way(26) for receiving and aligning each end of a first optical fiber(200) and a second optical fiber(300). A radius(Ri) of an inscribed circle(28) of the passage way is large as much as a predetermined difference of 1.0 micrometer or less in comparison to a predetermined radius(Rf) in a plane perpendicular to the predetermined direction.
