PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma display panel where pulse distortion due to temperature is compensated is provided to prevent the increase of power consumption and the instability of display characteristics by the temperature change of the plasma display panel. CONSTITUTION: According to the method for driving a plasma display panel applying driving pulses to each electrode line of the plasma display panel by processing an image signal inputted from the external, the present temperature of the plasma display panel is detected. Then, at least one of a rising start point, a rising end point, a falling start point and a falling end point of the driving pulses applied to the plasma display panel is adjusted according to the detected temperature.
