A system for enabling the distribution of and for tracking the use made of items of digital content, including a database (4) for storing one or more electronic addresses of potential recipients of digital content, an management server (2) for selecting recipients, from the contacts list, for an item of promotional digital content and for defining digital rights management (DRM) rules for access to the digital content by the selected recipients. Electronic messages are sent to each selected recipient, with elements for downloading the content and for providing feedback. Content promoters can access status reports indicating access to said item of digital content by a recipient, and feedback, at any stage following the transmission of the messages. |
