The electrical machine has a stator (13) and a split-pole rotor (15) with evenly spaced interlaced alternating pole fingers (35), projecting inwards from 2 pole discs (33) at opposite ends of a pole core (17) provided with an energizing winding (16). The cold-formed pole fingers are shaped along their under edges for preventing damage to the winding wires. An Independent claim for a manufacturing method for an electrical machine is also included.
