The operating point stabilization is provided by a temperature regulation device (60) with a heat source/sink and a temperature sensor, supported in good thermal contact with the laser transmitter (40) and an associated control unit (50), allowing the temperature of the laser transmitter to be adjusted for maintaining the required oscillation frequency of the laser transmitter. An Independent claim for an operating point stabilizer for a laser transmitter is also included.
