Tool carrier has an actuator (41) for applying a force orthogonal to the radial direction of the shaft (2), and a force deviating device which deviates the force into a radial force. Preferred Features: The actuator is arranged in an axial direction of the shaft outside of the operating region of the tool. The force deviating device has a slide (30) which axially moves the force acting on the actuator orthogonal to the radial direction of the shaft. The force deviating device has rollers (34) for reducing the friction forces produced on moving the slide.
