PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting the speed of a vehicle by using a piezoelectric device is provided to remove the loss of driving force due to the friction in a conventional contact type as well as to remove the generation of noise. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting the speed of a vehicle by using a piezoelectric device includes a bearing pressure detection member(100), an engine controller(200) and a speed displaying member(300). The bearing pressure detection member(100) is provided in the external wheel of the bearing rotatably engaged to the output axis of the vehicle and detects the pressure distribution of the bearing ball which rotates along the external wheel of the bearing. The engine controller(200) analyzes the bearing ball pressure by receiving the bearing ball pressure distribution applied and detected in the bearing pressure detection member(100). And, the speed displaying member(300) displays the change of speed in such a way that the driver recognizes it by receiving a predetermined vehicle speed signal outputted from the engine controller(200). |
