PURPOSE: An LCD is provided to dispose contact holes for contacting pillars and a pixel electrode with a drain electrode in a straight line of a rubbing direction, in order to maintain cell gaps between an upper substrate and a lower substrate, thereby minimizing ununiform effect of liquid crystal orientation. CONSTITUTION: Positions of pillars(12) are located in power lines. The pillars(12) are located in the same line as contact holes(13) for contacting drain electrodes with pixel electrodes(11) of a thin film transistor, based on a direction of a rubbing process. Regions where liquid crystal orientation does not occur by the pillars(12) are located in positions of the contact holes(13). The contact holes(13) are formed in the regions where light is not transmitted. |
