BACK LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A back light assembly is provided to supply light emitted from one light source to 2 light guide plates, respectively, and to display 2 different images in opposite direction, thereby minimizing optical loss while displaying the 2 images and reducing size of parts. CONSTITUTION: The first light guide plate(120) includes the first light inputted surface for inputting light, the first light outputted surface(125) connected with the first light inputted surface, and the first light reflective surface consisting of the first light reflective surface unit(123a) having the first thickness and the second light reflective surface unit(123b) having the second thickness thinner than the first thickness. The second light guide plate(130) is overlapped with the first light guide plate(120), and has the second light inputted surface for inputting the light, the second light reflective surface(135) consisting of the first light reflective surface unit and the second light reflective surface unit, and the second light outputted surface connected to the second light inputted surface. A light source(110) supplies the light to the first light inputted surface and the second light inputted surface.
