PURPOSE: A method of managing a lending list database using a PVR system is provided to systematically manage programs previously watched. CONSTITUTION: A lending list database is constructed in a PVR. A user connects to a program lending site using a network(S402). The user selects a predetermined program from the program lending site and executes a lending list comparison and management program installed in the PVR(S403). The user accesses the lending list comparison and management program using a user's ID and password, inputs information of the program selected from the program lending site, and compares the information with information of the lending list database(S405). The user judges whether the selected program is lent according to the comparison result, and information of the lent program in the lending list database or the server of the site(S407,S408).
